Art Fund senior officials have recently launched new fundraising
initiative named Edible Masterpieces to encourage large numbers of art lovers
towards creation of credible and exclusive masterpieces. These people have
intended to help large numbers of galleries and museums/exhibition
centers of United Kingdom with the help of raised funds. The
competition encourages people to get together with their family members,
friends and colleagues on the month of May to observe the outstanding artist
capable of making an amazing edible creation inspired by favorite artwork or
cultural piece and at the same time to collect finance for the Art Fund.
Artists participating in this competition can decorate a small piece of
cake to appear as contemporary artwork or simply bake a biscuit, which
resembles with the painting of an Old Master. Even you can choose to prepare a
pie motivated by a landmark building. One of the interesting facts in this
edible masterpiece competition is that you can expect to get participation and
secure your winnings even you are not a professional chef. This is because;
newbie of cooking sector can display their creative artworks by using some
uncooked ingredients, including cheese, fruits and vegetables available in
nearby London markets, such as Bebo Kobo
Camden Market, Covent Market and Borough Market.
Participants can register them with the free information packages
containing stickers, recipes, posters and various types of fundraising tips.
You could raffle off cakes, organize the private view and even held bake sale.
You can easily avail various raw materials to perform the activity by visiting Street
Markets of your area. Once you succeed in increasing your funds, you
can easily send back the tear-off slip incorporated in the pack or simply pay
the same with the help of internet.
According to the viewpoints of Katharine Richards, coordinator of the
entire Campaign, “We are hoping to inspire people, through the medium of food, to raise
