Low Park Museum-the Accredited Museum of United Kingdom


Few days ago, Low Park Museum of Hamilton received the top and the prestigious award from the national organization. For this, authorities involved in giving awards surveyed different museums of the city, on different ways, in which they manage their activities, offer different types of services and solutions to public and the way, by which they give proper care for varying collections. Relevant media and information systems reported that Low Parks received the title as accredited museum followed by Museums Galleries in Scotland, which is responsible for administration of the scheme at northern portion of border and even a big panel from Council of Arts in England. 


After receiving accreditation and the honorable award, Hamish Stewart, the counselor and chairperson of SLLC i.e. South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, “Our museum staffs continued to work very hard indeed to ensure that they met the criteria for the award. We reviewed all of our policies and procedures to ensure we follow best practice in managing and developing South Lanarkshire’s museum collections. This accreditation ensures that we are delivering a good public service and provides benchmarks for continuous improvement. This is a fantastic achievement and I am very proud indeed of our museum staff who work together to make our museums such a wonderful attraction here in South Lanarkshire.” Read more from here


Accreditation and Award Ceremony
Both award ceremonies and accreditations aimed to encourage and build high level of public confidence in between different organizations holding varying collections for public benefit. Moreover, accreditations reinforce shared professional and ethical bases for all museums located in different cities and counties of United Kingdom. The entire panel is responsible for scrutinizing different standards across varying functions, by looking over different ways, in which organizations manage and run different types of museum services.
